Functional Coatings for Paper Packaging SEIKOAT™Series
The SEIKOAT™ Series is a line of functional coating agents in water-based emulsion form, based on either styrene-acrylic or acrylic polymers, developed to enable the transition from plastic to paper-based packaging materials.
Characteristics
- These functional coating agents are able to impart various properties to substrates (water-based functional polymer emulsions).
- Can be applied using gravure and flexographic printing systems, as well as various coating equipment.
- Provides paper with multiple functional properties:
・Water resistance
・Oil resistance
・Heat sealability
・Moisture barrier properties - Formulated with materials suitable for paper-based food packaging applications.
Provides excellent pigment dispersion, binding properties and gloss when used in dispersion and letdown applications.
SEIKOAT™ Series
- The SEIKOAT™ Series provides paper with functionalities similar to PE lamination while maintaining high recyclability.
- These coating agents can be used not only on paper substrates but also films, aluminum substrates, and more.
