Surface sizing agents are commonly used to provide water-resistance and prevent paper from blurring with water or ink.
These agents are applied to a wide variety of paper / paper board (writing paper, copying paper, corrugated board, newspaper, postcard, paper cup, paper bag, and so on).
Solution Type SURFACE SIZING AGENT SS series
- Aqueous emulsions of highly hydrophobic polymers (primarily styrene-based) and alkyl ketene dimers.
- The application of this series makes it possible to provide water-resistance to various paper / paperboard (from acidic paper to alkaline paper).

Emulsion Type SURFACE SIZING AGENT SE/SS series
- These products are aqueous colloidal suspensions of styrene based hydrophobic polymer particles.
They provide water-resistance to various paper / paperboard applications (from acidic paper to alkaline paper). - They provide good printability for many paper grades such as offset printing, IJ printing and flexographic printing.
- Aqueous emulsions of highly hydrophobic polymers (primarily styrene-based) and alkyl ketene dimers.
- Styrene acrylate grades provide excellent sizing properties across a wide pH range, from acidic to neutral, offering superior printability for offset, inkjet, and flexographic printing applications.
- Bio-based alkyl ketene dimers deliver high sizing efficiency in neutral paper applications.
