Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Policy

As a manufacturer and supplier of chemical substances, the CHEMIPAZ Group places HSE protection at the core of our management. We implement both these principles and our commitment to sustainable development throughout all operations to provide environmentally harmonious technologies and products for social development.

  • Ensure HSE responsibility throughout product lifecycles
  • Set and pursue HSE targets for continuous improvement
  • Comply with HSE-related laws, regulations, and agreements.
Maintain high HSE standards globally, especially in countries with limited regulatory frameworks
  • Conduct structured HSE training and education programs.
  • Maintain HSE management systems with regular internal audits.

We publicly disclose these policies and require their implementation across all CHEMIPAZ Group companies.
Note: Safety, as referenced above, encompasses process safety.

Our Group’s targets for a sustainable society

2030 target:

50% reduction in GHG emissions (from 2013 baseline)※

2050 target:

Achieve carbon neutrality

The basic unit denominator is production volume.
GHG emissions are Scope 1 & 2
(energy-derived, non-energy-derived) figures.

Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions (fuel combustion, plant processes) by business sites themselves

Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other companies

GHG emissions reduction plan

①Energy Infrastructure Enhancement

・Upgrading facilities and optimizing operations

・Energy-saving activities (1% reduction in energy consumption, converted into crude oil, compared to the previous year)

②Installation of solar power equipment

③Fuel conversion (heavy oil, light oil → shift to gas)

Our Group’s production volume, GHG emissions, and energy consumption in FY 2023

Production volume and energy consumption (Group total)

Compared to FY2013, FY2023 showed a 19.6% increase in production volume and a 3.1% increase in energy consumption. Against the previous fiscal year, production volume remained nearly flat and energy consumption decreased by 3.6 percentage points.
